Free SEO tools for every step of your work

This toolkit brings together more than 100 free SEO tools in one place. You can audit a website, research keywords, optimise a page, find free backlink sites, prepare content for AI search, generate structured data and compress images without creating an account or paying for a subscription. Most tools run entirely in your browser, so the text, code and images you add stay on your own device.

The tools are built and maintained by AM Digital Marketing Agency. We use these checks in our own client work every day, and we made them public because good SEO basics should not sit behind a paywall.

What SEO, AEO and GEO mean

SEO (search engine optimisation) is the work of helping a website appear in search results when people look for what it offers. It covers technical health, keywords, content, links and user experience.

AEO (answer engine optimisation) shapes content into clear questions and direct answers, so that it can be shown in featured snippets, read out by voice assistants and used in AI-generated answers.

GEO (generative engine optimisation) makes content credible and specific enough for AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity to cite it as a source.

The three work together. SEO makes your page findable, AEO makes its answers easy to extract and GEO makes it worth citing. This site has tools for each.

What you can do here

Audit your website. The Free Website Audit tests your page live with Google Lighthouse and compares it with up to three competitors. The Technical SEO Page Audit checks the tags in a page's source code.

Find keywords. The Keyword Research Tool loads live Google suggestions for your country. Other tools expand, clean, group and prioritise your list. See all Keyword Research tools.

Optimise pages. The On-Page SEO Optimizer scores an article and tells you what to change. Checkers for titles, descriptions, headings, links and images cover the detail. See On-Page SEO.

Build links. AMoffpage Backlinks Help lists free backlink sites for your niche, filtered by backlink type, country, DA and PA. See Backlinks and Off-Page.

Prepare for AI search. The AEO Optimizer and the GEO Optimizer check whether your content can be quoted and cited. See AEO, GEO and AI Search.

Fix technical issues. Generate and test robots.txt files, sitemaps, canonical tags, hreflang tags and redirects. See Technical SEO.

Win local customers. Create local keywords, schema and checklists for your Google Business Profile and citations. See Local SEO.

Write better content. Plan with briefs and outlines, then check readability, sentence length and freshness. See Content and Writing.

Add structured data. Generate JSON-LD for articles, products, FAQs, events, recipes, jobs and more, and validate it. See Schema and Structured Data.

Speed up your site. Test Core Web Vitals and shrink images. See Website Performance and Image and Visual SEO.

Plan and report. Build a 90-day plan with the SEO Strategy Planner and summarise progress with the SEO Client Report Generator.

Who the tools are for

  • Business owners who handle their own marketing and need clear, practical guidance.
  • Bloggers and content writers who want each article to be readable and well optimised before it goes live.
  • Freelancers and agencies who need quick checks and client-ready reports.
  • Students and beginners learning SEO by doing it.
  • Developers who need correct robots.txt rules, redirects, canonical tags and schema without writing them by hand.

Every tool page includes a full guide that explains what the tool does, how to read the results and how to fix what it finds.

A simple way to start

  1. Audit. Run the Free Website Audit on your home page with three competitors. Note everything marked red.
  2. Research. Use the Keyword Research Tool for each product or service, then group the results into pages.
  3. Optimise. Check each important page in the On-Page SEO Optimizer and fix the listed items.
  4. Publish. Write new content from a brief, and test it for readability, AEO and GEO.
  5. Promote. Build foundational links with AMoffpage Backlinks Help.
  6. Measure. Track clicks and impressions in Google Search Console and repeat each month.

If you would like the steps laid out for your situation, the SEO Strategy Planner creates a plan from five questions.

How the tools work

Most tools process your input with code that runs inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded, which makes them safe for client drafts and confidential documents. Three tools need live data and say so clearly: the Website Audit and the Page Speed Checker send the page address to Google PageSpeed Insights, and the Keyword Research Tool sends your seed keyword to Google to load suggestions.

What we will not show you

Some figures cannot be produced honestly without a paid data source: search volume, keyword difficulty, live rankings and the backlinks pointing to a site. The tools here do not invent those numbers. Where a tool gives a score, it is calculated from published best practice by rules written by our team. It is a guide to quality, not a score from Google.

Where a tool lists third-party metrics, such as the DA and PA values in AMoffpage Backlinks Help, they are marked as approximate and each one links to a live check.

Why it is free

The site is supported by advertising. Ads cover the running costs and never change what a tool reports. There is no account to create, no trial period and no limit on how often you use a tool.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are these SEO tools free?

Yes. All 177 working tools are free to use and do not need an account.

Which tool should I start with?

Start with the Free Website Audit. Enter your page and up to three competitors to see your weak points and a plan to fix them. Then use the SEO Strategy Planner to see what to do next.

Can the tools find my competitors for me?

No. Finding who ranks for a keyword needs live search data. Search your main keywords in Google, pick the top three real competitors, and enter them in the Website Audit to compare.

Is my content uploaded anywhere?

No. Most tools run inside your browser. The Website Audit and Page Speed tools send the page URL to Google PageSpeed Insights, and the Keyword Research Tool sends your seed keyword to Google to load suggestions.

What are AEO and GEO?

AEO (answer engine optimisation) shapes your content into direct answers for featured snippets and voice search. GEO (generative engine optimisation) makes your content trustworthy enough for AI tools to cite. There is a separate optimizer for each.

Do the tools show search volume or backlinks?

No. Search volume and the backlinks pointing to a site need a paid data source, so the tools do not show estimates for them.

Where can I find free backlink sites?

Use AMoffpage Backlinks Help. Enter your niche or keyword, then filter by backlink type, country, DA and PA to get a list of free sites for profile creation, business listings, guest posts, social bookmarking and more than 25 other off-page methods.

What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?

SEO helps pages rank in search results. AEO structures content so direct answers can be extracted for snippets and voice search. GEO makes content credible enough for AI tools to cite as a source.

Do I need to create an account to use the tools?

No. Every tool works without sign-up, and there is no limit on how many times you can use it.

Can beginners use these SEO tools?

Yes. Each tool has a "Load example" button where it applies, plain-language results and a full guide underneath that explains what to do next.

Ready to see what is holding your site back?

It takes about 30 seconds and costs nothing.
